La pace sia con tutti voi!
Con il saluto che Papa Leone XIV ha rivolto dopo la Sua elezione alla Chiesa e al mondo, voglio darvi il benvenuto nella nostra Arcidiocesi.
Il tempo delle vacanze, attraverso la visita ai beni paesaggistici e artistici del nostro territorio, favorisca il riposo del corpo e ritempri lo spirito, perché possiate ritrovare quella pace interiore che è conseguenza del riscoprirsi figli amati, sempre. Se in questo ANNO GIUBILARE non potrete, per diverse ragioni, raggiungere la città degli apostoli Pietro e Paolo, in questi giorni di permanenza nella nostra Chiesa particolare, lontani dalla vita frenetica, che impedisce di prendersi cura di se stessi e della propria interiorità, potreste vivere un momento di incontro vivo e personale con il Signore Gesù «porta» di salvezza.
Poiché la vita cristiana è un cammino che ha bisogno di momenti forti per ritrovarsi e nutrire la fede e la speranza, insostituibili compagne di viaggio. Concretamente, potreste farvi pellegrini di speranza, raggiungendo le nostre Chiese giubilari, oasi di spiritualità, per celebrare il sacramento del Perdono, partecipare al banchetto Eucaristico e ricevere l’Indulgenza. Ritornando a casa, la grazia del Giubileo celebrato, vi porti a coltivare e testimoniare nei vostri ambiti di vita, quei segni di speranza di cui parlava Papa Francesco, nella bolla di indizione del Giubileo: l’amore alla vita, l’essere operatori di pace, il prendersi cura di quanti vivono condizioni di disagio. Segni di speranza che raccontano l’amore e il bene di cui è capace l’uomo e rianimano la speranza, là dove sembra ormai prevalere il male e abitare solo la sfiducia.

With the greeting that Pope Leo XIV addressed to the Church and the world following His election, I wish to welcome you to our Archdiocese.
May the holiday season, through visits to the landscape and artistic assets of our territory, favor the rest of the body and restore the spirit, so that you can find that inner peace that is the consequence of rediscovering yourself as beloved children, always. If, for various reasons, in this JUBILEE YEAR you cannot reach the city of the apostles Peter and Paul, in these days of permanence in our particular Church, far from the frenetic life, which prevents you from taking care of yourselves and your interiority, you could experience a moment of lively and personal encounter with the Lord Jesus, the “door” of salvation.
Because Christian life is a journey that requires strong moments to find yourselves and nourish faith and hope, irreplaceable traveling companions. Concretely, you could become pilgrims of hope, reaching our Jubilee Churches, oases of spirituality, to celebrate the sacrament of Forgiveness, participate in the Eucharistic banquet and receive the Indulgence. Returning home, may the grace of the celebrated Jubilee lead you to cultivate and witness in your areas of life, those signs of hope that Pope Francis spoke of in the bull announcing the Jubilee: love for life, being peacemakers, taking care of those who live in conditions of hardship. Signs of hope that tell of the love and goodness of which man is capable and revive hope, there where evil now seems to prevail and only distrust dwells.
